STCC has always been about pursuing our love of automobiles and having fun with our Corvettes. We try to do this by planning many fun activities that appeal to a broad range of interests. We offer social events, car shows and both local and out-of-state cruise events. Our social events include holiday parties, local winery and dinner cruises STCC sponsors the annual” All-Chevy ” car show which attract 100+ cars representing both vintage classic Chevrolets as well as the very latest models. We also participate in shows sponsored both by other local clubs as well as several out of state clubs, most notably in Annapolis, MD, at the Corvettes at Carlisle, PA event and the Ocean City, MD Corvette event.
STCC is a non-profit organization and we like to give back to our community by donating to several local charities. Among our current charities are the “Spirit of Christmas” which aids the under-privileged children and elderly residents of our community. In addition we are ongoing supporters of the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
The Steel Town Corvette Club encourages the ownership of Corvettes and provides the opportunity for members to exchange information and knowledge on how to best maintain and enjoy our Corvettes. STCC maintains a strong relationship with our sponsor, Colussy Chevrolet, whose unwavering support has greatly contributed to the growth and success of our organization.
During the period stretching from November thru March we get together once a month for a general meeting of all members to bring them up to date on current STCC Board activities and decisions as well as providing a venue for members to get together for dinner and discussion and the occasional party. Commencing in March and running through October we have a full schedule of car cruises, outdoor parties and other activities that provide members with an opportunity to drive their “Vettes”, usually ending at a dinner location where we get an opportunity to talk with one another and get caught up on each others current activities.
Our members are mostly from the Pittsburgh area although we do have members from West Virginia also. While it is not mandatory that members own a Corvette, STCC membership requires a strong interest in Corvettes. Please feel free to check out the rest of our web site to learn more about us. We have a long and rich history, and we are always interested in hearing from others who love Corvettes as much as we do.
If you like to have fun, enjoy Corvettes, and would like to be a part of our historic club, then please consider joining us. There is a link to the left titled “Join the Club” which will show you how.
I hope to hear from you and see you soon!
President – Steel Town Corvette Club
I want to welcome you to our STCC home on the internet. For those who are not familiar with our club, we are one of the largest Corvette clubs in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Out original heritage was focused on members who raced against other sports cars such as those that belonged to the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA).
My name is Perry Minnis, 2017 President of the Steel Town Corvette Club (STCC). Don Yenko, an American racecar driver best known for creating the Yenko high performance line of Chevrolets organized STCC in 1972 along with Donna Mae Mims, also an American race car driver. She was the first woman to win a Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) national championship. Mims won the SCCA Class H championship and was known as the "Pink Lady" of racing because she wore a pink racing helmet and coveralls and had the phrase "Think Pink" emblazoned on the back of her pink racing cars.
